Travelling with your pet
If you are travelling to your destination by air, it may be required, or you may simply prefer it, that you and your pet actually board the same aircraft. In any event, you should give your pet some light exercise before you depart, and avoid feeding or offering water too close to travel time, unless dehydration is a risk. You should make sure that there is a water dish available for long journeys. Travelling crates and boxes should be clearly marked and should have copies of all travel documents attached. Make sure that your pet has a collar and tags to identify it, but don't use anything that might get entangled during the journey.
